Lab Pricing & What Each Test Does

How Lab Testing Works Here

Laboratory testing must be clinically appropriate and ordered by a physician. A regular visit fee generally applies so we can review your symptoms, health history, medications, and testing needs. In some circumstances, we may tell you in advance that the visit fee will be waived.

The prices below are add-on test prices. They include physician interpretation of the results. A separate follow-up visit may be recommended if the results require additional evaluation, counseling, treatment, or medication management.

A single $10 specimen-collection fee applies each time specimens are collected at Quest, regardless of how many tests are performed from that collection.

Common Labs Considered at an Annual Check-Up

Depending on your age, health history, medications, symptoms, and prior results, we may recommend one or more of the tests below. Testing is individualized, and not everyone needs every test each year.

Inflammation & Autoimmune Testing

These tests measure inflammation and help evaluate autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. No single result diagnoses or rules out a condition on its own.

Test What It Checks Price
ESRSed Rate (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) A general marker of inflammation in the body. $10
CRPC-Reactive Protein Another marker of inflammation, useful for detecting and monitoring inflammatory conditions. $10
RA PanelRheumatoid Arthritis Panel (RF & Anti-CCP) Helps evaluate rheumatoid arthritis by measuring rheumatoid factor and anti-CCP antibodies. Results are interpreted alongside your symptoms and exam. $55

Heart & Cholesterol Testing

A standard lipid panel is a good starting point, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. For a deeper look at cardiovascular risk — especially with a family history of heart disease — these advanced tests can be added. BNP and NT-proBNP help evaluate the heart when we are looking into shortness of breath, swelling, or possible heart failure.

Test What It Checks Price
Lp(a)Lipoprotein(a) Measures an inherited cholesterol particle that raises heart attack and stroke risk, a factor a standard panel misses. Usually checked just once in your lifetime. $25
ApoBApolipoprotein B Counts the total number of artery-clogging particles in your blood, often a more accurate measure of heart risk than standard LDL cholesterol. $10
BNPB-Type Natriuretic Peptide A blood test that helps evaluate for heart failure, especially when you have shortness of breath or swelling. $60
NT-proBNPN-Terminal pro-B-Type Natriuretic Peptide A related marker used to help evaluate for heart failure and to monitor it over time. $150

Vitamin & Mineral Testing

These tests may help evaluate suspected vitamin or mineral deficiencies based on your symptoms, health history, diet, medications, or medical conditions.

Test What It Checks Price
Vitamin D25-Hydroxyvitamin D Measures your vitamin D level when testing is clinically appropriate. $25
Vitamin B12Cobalamin Measures vitamin B12 to help evaluate suspected deficiency, which can affect nerves and blood counts. $10
MagnesiumSerum Magnesium Measures your magnesium level, which can be low with certain medications, diets, or medical conditions. $10
MMA & HomocysteineMethylmalonic Acid and Homocysteine Helps evaluate B12 deficiency at the cellular level when standard testing is unclear. $70

Cancer Screening

Screening tests can help find some cancers early, often before symptoms appear. Which screening tests are right for you depends on your age, sex, and risk factors, and we will discuss that with you.

Test What It Checks Price
HPV Self-Collection for Cervical Cancer ScreeningHigh-Risk HPV Self-Collection A self-collected vaginal swab that screens for high-risk HPV types associated with cervical cancer. $50
PSAProstate-Specific Antigen May help screen for prostate cancer after an individualized discussion. Elevated results can also occur for noncancerous reasons. $10
FITFecal Immunochemical Test An at-home stool test that screens for colon cancer by detecting hidden blood in the stool. $60

Digestive & Celiac Testing

These tests help evaluate digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, bloating, or abdominal pain, and screen for conditions like celiac disease, intestinal inflammation, and infections.

Test What It Checks Price
Calprotectin, FecalStool Inflammation Marker A stool test that measures intestinal inflammation, which helps distinguish inflammatory bowel disease from other causes. $160
Celiac PanelCeliac Disease Comprehensive Panel A blood test that screens for celiac disease, an immune reaction to gluten. $50
Giardia AntigenGiardia Antigen, EIA, Stool Detects the Giardia parasite, a common cause of prolonged diarrhea. $15

Infections & STI Testing

These tests screen for common infections and sexually transmitted infections, many of which have no symptoms. Some initial results may automatically trigger additional confirmatory (reflex) testing. Additional laboratory charges may apply and will be explained when reasonably known.

Test What It Checks Price
Hepatitis CHep C Antibody with Reflex to HCV RNA Screens for hepatitis C. A positive antibody result may trigger additional confirmatory testing. $10
HIVHIV-1/2 Antigen & Antibody, 4th Generation, with Reflexes Screens for HIV and can detect infection early. A positive result may trigger additional confirmatory testing. $65
Lymphocyte Panel% CD4, Absolute CD4+ Cells, Absolute Lymphocytes Monitors immune health for ongoing HIV care by tracking CD4 cell counts and lymphocyte levels over time. $50

STI panels. Most people are tested with a bundled panel, chosen based on symptoms and risk, which collects everything in one go.

Panel What It Checks Price
Increased Risk PanelChlamydia/Neisseria gonorrhoeae RNA · Trichomonas vaginalis RNA · Mycoplasma genitalium rRNA, TMA The broadest screening panel: chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, and Mycoplasma genitalium, all from one collection. A good choice with new or multiple partners. $280
Genital Lesion PanelHerpes Simplex Virus Type 1 & 2 mRNA, TMA · Treponema pallidum DNA, PCR For an active sore or lesion: tests it directly for herpes (HSV-1 and HSV-2) and for syphilis. $430
Male Urethritis Panel, ExpandedChlamydia/Neisseria gonorrhoeae RNA · Trichomonas vaginalis RNA · Mycoplasma genitalium rRNA · Ureaplasma species PCR For men with urethral symptoms such as discharge or burning: covers chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, Mycoplasma genitalium, and Ureaplasma. $440

Individual STI tests. Each can be ordered on its own, though a panel above is often the better value if you need more than one.

Test What It Checks Price

TrichomonasTrichomonas vaginalis RNA, Qualitative, TMA Screens for trichomoniasis, a common and easily treated STI. $120
Mycoplasma genitaliumMycoplasma genitalium, rRNA, TMA Screens for a bacterial STI that can cause urethritis and pelvic infection. $125
UreaplasmaSureSwab® Ureaplasma species, Real-Time PCR Detects Ureaplasma species. Testing is generally reserved for selected clinical situations because a positive result does not always indicate infection. $175
Herpes (HSV 1 & 2)SureSwab® Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 & 2 mRNA, TMA Tests a genital lesion for herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2. $230
Syphilis (Lesion PCR)Treponema pallidum DNA, Qualitative Real-Time PCR Tests a genital sore or lesion directly for syphilis. $240
Syphilis (Blood)RPR (Diagnosis) with Reflex to Titer and Treponema pallidum Antibody A blood test that screens for syphilis. A positive result may trigger additional confirmatory testing. $5
